Speaker Topics

Homeschooling:

1. Coming Home to School
The first year of school at home is often as frustrating as it is exhilarating. We expect lollipops and rainbows and find tears and confusion equally disbursed through our days. Why it happens and what we can do about it.

2. The Itchy Twitchy Handbook
Do you have a child who is easily overwhelmed – for whom the world seems too loud, too startling, too frustrating, too bright? Do you start out the homeschool day full of optimism and pep only to find you are all exhausted before you begin because of the ‘toos’ that permeate your days? What are the signs of Sensory Processing overload? What do they mean? And, please, Lord, is there anything we can do about it all?

3. Roots and Wings

Preparing a mother’s heart for an empty nest. What comes next when the school years are over, how to discover it, and how to put it into motion.

4. Having an Out-of-the-Box Child in a Check the Box World
Addressing all the fearful ‘what if’s’ that haunt teaching moms when they have children with unique learning challenges.

Faith and Women’s Issues:

1. Finding My Worth in a World Gone Relative
Relevant age group: 18 - 35 year olds
Subject: women regarding the lost art of personal dignity, personal boundaries, and sexual purity. Who does God say that I am and how do I find his unique purpose for me?

2. Bridging the Great Divide
Relevant Age Group: 30 and up
Subject: In an age of unparalleled connectivity, more and more suffer with depression and loneliness. The Titus 2 generation often feels disposable to the younger crowd. The younger crowd longs for nurturing but overlooks opportunities to connect with a mentoring partner. Let’s energize the Titus 2 generation to minister to younger women and vice-versa.

3. Sweaty Faith in a World of Instantaneous Answers
Relevant age group: adult women
Subject: How do you hold on to faith when the world falls down around you? How do you cope with loss when the world says faith is an easy thing full of instantaneous rewards? Sharing our story of a faith that made no sense amid circumstances that no one understood.
